About

I’m a biotech and chemical engineer who builds practical sensing systems at the intersection of materials, biology, and engineering. My core interest is volatile organic compounds—how they change in biological systems and how we can reliably sense them in real-world environments.

I lead Invent, where we develop chemiresistive VOC sensor platforms and translate them into screening and monitoring products. My work is driven by a simple belief: high-impact healthcare tools must be accessible, robust, and deployable outside perfect lab conditions.

I’m an engineer and problem solver by instinct. I enjoy building things that run—reactors, labs, prototypes, and repeatable test workflows. I’m also a frugal builder: when resources are limited, constraints become design inputs, not excuses.

Values & Operating Principles

  • Frugal engineering (“ISRO mindset”)
  • Evidence before opinion (experiment-first decisions)
  • Safety, ethics, and responsible deployment
  • Reliability over demos
  • Systems thinking: sensors + workflows + users

Research

My research centres on chemiresistive sensing materials, VOC signatures in biological systems (breathomics), and the translational work that takes lab prototypes into real-world pilots. VolTrac™ — our patented sensor platform — is the foundation.
